
I like rock. I like metal. I pretty much like everything. But although The Scorpions are a world renowed name - apart from ‘that’ song, bizzarely I hadnt heard them before this evening.
It might have been the 8 page spread in Classic Rock last month that prickled up my curiousity, or it may have been the fact that they have such an intensely dedicated fan base, but something made me want to go and shoot this one and I’m glad I did!

Dragonforce was one of those big gigs that you stick in your diary, and yet your so busy it just sort of creeps up on you without a chance to get excited. Walking into the venue, I didnt really know what to expect, and the lack of any lighting for the support bands was not adding to my feeling of edginess.
Regardless, into the photo pit I went, and catching a glimpse of what was behind the curtain blocking off the stage, I couldnt quite believe what I saw. Oh my days!

Current housewives favourites One Republic rolled into the Academy tonight to deliver the goods. Singles ‘Stop and Stare’ and ‘Apologise’ were obvious crowd pleasers, but the band deserve a lot of credit for the polished performance that they served up to the sold out crowd.
